Moira Gunn

Dr. Gunn has earned advanced degrees in both Computer Science and Engineering. Early in her career, she designed and managed large-scale scientific applications and secure networking at NASA, before starting
a consulting practice in such diverse areas as robotics, financial data management, non-destructive testing, and nutrition research. She holds a software patent in nutrition data collection. Her clients include Intel, IBM, Lockheed-Martin, NASA, USDA and the U.S. Navy. She has taught at USF in the Computer Science program, prior to joining CPS, where she developed the first BSIS curriculum. For the past 25 years, Dr. Gunn has been a member of the adjunct faculty, evaluating the credits awarded for computer experience for all CPS undergraduate students. In 2006, she joined CPS on a full-time basis. Dr. Gunn is the host
of Tech Nation and BioTech Nation on NPR and she has a book “Welcome to BioTech Nation” coming out in June 2007. She is a member of Phi Beta Kappa, and serves on the advisory boards of the School of Science at Purdue University and the Department of Mechanical Engineering at Stanford University.
