Brief Biography

Jennifer Parlamis is an Assistant Professor in the Organizational Development masters program at the College of Professional Studies. Jennifer earned a B.A. in psychology from Georgetown University and a Ph.D. in Social and Organizational Psychology from Teachers College, Columbia University. Before joining the University of San Francisco, Jennifer was a post-doctoral fellow at Columbia University’s School of Business and a lecturer of psychology and education and director of the Social-Organizational Psychology MA program at Teachers College, Columbia University. She has also taught classes at Barnard College and NYU’s Stern School of Business.

Courses taught by Jennifer include Organizational Behavior, Research Methods and Statistics, Negotiations, and Psychological Aspects of Organizations. She has taught both undergraduates and graduates.

Jennifer’s research interests include anger in conflict situations, email and in-person negotiations, ageism in organizations, and in-group bias and out-group discrimination.

In addition to work, Jennifer enjoys traveling, playing tennis, hiking, and spending time with her husband and three kids.
