Through the MSIS program, students typically attend class as
a cohort for four hours, one night a week, and take the courses
in modular sequence. Occasionally courses are offered simultaneously
with additional course sessions being taught online or on an alternate

| * If the emphasis in Information Security is chosen, courses marked with * will be replaced
with courses from the security emphasis area (see below). |
The Information Security emphasis area will consist of three courses which complement the core information security course required for all MSIS students,
Identity Management and Trust
Network Security
IT Audit and Forensics
Students opting for the information security emphasis should note that the above courses replace the following in the standard MSIS curriculum,
e-Business Technologies
Enterprise Information Systems
Business Intelligence and Data Warehouses
The three courses comprising the emphasis area will only be offered in one location on Saturdays. Most likely this will be San Francisco.
BSIS students who have graduated within the last two years with a cumulative GPA of 3.5 or better in their major can have Analysis, Modeling, and Design and Database Systems (the first two courses) waived.
